About Feng-Shui

Feng-Shui is a Chinese mathematical system developed by ancient scholars through observations accumulated over a few thousand years. It is a specialized method of harmonizing man-made environment and calculation of time and space. There are often remedies to solve the adversities.

Besides that, Feng-Shui is considered as a science incorporating astronomy, geography, the environment, magnetic fields, and physics. It is not a religion nor is it a form of superstition. All principles and theories of Feng Shui are derived from the book I-Ching, “The Book of Change” and there is one and the only one type of Feng-Shui.

The basics of Feng-Shui consist of:
  • The Yin / Yang Principle
  • The Five Elements
  • The Eight Trigrams
  • The Directions (East / West System)
  • The Solar System (Shyuan K’ung System)
  • The Environment

About Ba-Zi

Ba-Zi is the date of birth. It includes the time, the day, the month and the year when one was born. There is a correlation between the date of birth, place of birth and one’s destiny. In order to get perfect reading for the Feng-Shui of a house, it is essential for the feng shui master to use the Ba-Zi together with the Trigram of the house. We can say that Ba-Zi is a supplementary as well as a complementary to the Trigram of the house during the process of reading.

In conclusion, Ba-Zi is a discipline by itself and it needs a series of lessons under close supervision of a master before one can really master it. It is very important for a Feng-Shui practitioner to master the subject if he or she aspires to be a world renowned geomancer. It is part and parcel of Feng-Shui.
